ummer and fall flyfishing are becoming one of our more popular activities. We offer over 1 mile of brook trout fishing on site in Morrison Creek. We have just completed our trophy trout facility on the ranch. Catch large rainbow trout morning or evening along with all the other ranch activities we offer.

Day horseback trips take you to Silver Creek in the Sarvis Creek Wilderness where native trout are in abundance.

You can keep legal limits of fish or fish with 'catch and release' techniques.

Fly-Fishing Gear
We use 2-3 weight fly rods for most trout. This provides optimum action in the streams we fish near the ranch. The Yampa River gives us a chance to use 4-5 weight fly gear on larger fish.

High Meadows can provide you with gear and flies but most avid fishing people come to us with plenty of gear and personal favorites in flies and rods.

Jan and Denny have been known to cook your day's catch. Denny's secret mesquite grilling and Jan's rice pilaf combine for a perfect dinner with a bottle of wine from our cellar.
