ildflowers are abundant at the ranch each summer. The varieties and colors change approximately every three weeks starting in May and ending with the spectacular fall foliage of the high country aspen trees.

You can hike before breakfast or spend the day on exotic backcountry trails. The Flat Tops Wilderness is a must for avid hikers. There you can experience true alpine vegetation, high country lakes and vast alpine meadows.

You can see the back country by foot, horseback or by vehicle. You often see elk, deer, coyote, and fox from your lodge or from the main dining room which overlooks a large open meadow. Humming birds, stellar jays, 'camp-robber' jays, bald eagles, red-tailed hawks, goshawks, as well as multiple species of ducks and geese fill the air year round.
